Lesson 2 (Week 2) concerned using the Color Palette. It is so different from the PSP 6 palette that I'm having a little trouble adapting, but it seems very versatile. I know that within a short time I'll love it. Right now I'm trying to use PSP 7 for everything so I'll learn to use it and can then free up space on my hard drive by uninstalling PSP 6. It's interesting to note that I don't seem to be able to import into PSP 6 anything created in PSP 7. I don't see a PSP 6 in the "Save As" menu for PSP 7. So I guess PSP isn't backward compatible.
Anyway, here's my first exercise using the color palette. I was going to put text around it, but all my text doubled and was unreadable. Guess I'll learn more about that later!
For the next part of the assignment we were to use a gradient setting to make buttons. I made mine for my various interests. Here they are actually links that, when clicked on, will take you to pages about my various interests. (If you want to see pages on my other interests, go to my home page - URL below - and click on them. LOL)
My Interests
In the next section we used the Styles Menu set to Pattern to create our image.
In the last section we used textures to create our image.
These exercises were really helpful in teaching me how to use the new features of the color palette. Now if I can just remember them until the next time. ROTFL
