Week 1

Animation Shop

This page is very graphics intensive. Please give it time to load!

Creating a Text Effect Animation

The first activity was too use Animation Shop to do a basic animation using a text effect and a custom font.

Here is my animation using the danceman font and the flag effect.

Here I used the butterflips font and the wheel effect.

In this animation I used the food font and the bouncing effect.

Creating a Basic Animation With Existing Images

Here is my animated dancer.

Here is an animated jack in the box I made from a little figure, drawing the boxes and moving the lid and "Jack."

Creating an Animation Using the Morph Transition Feature

This was a "toughie"! But it is a "neat" capability of PSP. Here is my dancing girl!

I tried to find another picture that I could morph, but was unable to find one.

Creating an Animated Banner Using the Banner Wizard Feature

Here is "Carol's First Banner"!

Carol's First Banner

Here I used the flag effect for my banner. Uh, oh, just discovered I labeled it wrong! LOL It's supposed to be PSP 7 - Exploring Features, not Using Features. Oh, well, it's midnight!

PSP 7 - Using Features

On this banner I used the backlight effect.

Addicted to PSP

I did another banner using the marquee effect. It worked beautifully locally; but when I uploaded it, it would not appear. I checked everything possible; there were no html errors, but for some reason neither Netscape nor Internet Navigator would show it. Oh, well! Computers are wonderful when they aren't driving one to utter frustration because something doesn't work as it should. LOL

Creating an Animation Using Images Edited in PSP

Here is my waterfall. Looks as if I didn't do too well on one of the frames. Tried zig-zagging and it didn't work satisfactorily. Well, it's still a "kewl" (or "cool," depending on how old you are - ROTFL) picture.

falling water

There are not too many things I could think of to use this on, but I found a picture of a fireplace fire and decided that might work! After doing it, I decided I should have changed just a little of the fire in each frame to make it look more like a flickering fire.
